Workin’ It

2010: Year of changes… a theme that continues. After a lovely week in Northern California, I returned to the Raleigh area to start a new role as a Program Manager at Red Hat. A company that appears to fit my insane requirements of growing yet stable; driven yet fun; and focused with a healthy amount of corporate ADD.

Is the company perfect? No. Is the job perfect? No. Does it feel like the right role for me? Quite possibly! I’ve only been here for a few short weeks and have quickly jumped into the ‘deep end’. I’m sure at some point the honeymoon period will end, but it’s nice for now. I’m still looking forward to each day.

One job done. One vacation done. One new job started. All in all a good winter / spring of 2010. Come on summer! I’ve got big expectations.

I can see!

This morning I ventured out to pick up my new glasses…  after a visit to the eye doc last week it was determined that it was “time”.  No longer can I use the if-I-can-pass-the-eye-test-at-the-DMV-I-don’t-need-glasses test.  I’m looking forward to experiencing whatever I’ve been missing up to this point.  What do you think?  Do I look older?  Younger?  Better?  Worse?  I’m on the fence, however, I think I’ll like them.

2010 has already started with a bang. First off… I no longer work for iContact. It’s a story that I won’t go into now, however, will happily discuss over a frosty beverage.
